Dr Pepper Snapple Group Names Lain Hancock Head of Human Resources

Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc. announced that Lain Hancock has been named executive vice president of human resources, effective Feb. 11, 2013. Hancock has held various leadership positions in supply chain, manufacturing operations and procurement during his five-year tenure at DPS, and most recently served as senior vice president for the human resources organization.
In his new role, Hancock is responsible for the company’s human resources organization and lead DPS’s efforts to attract, develop and retain the talent necessary to win in the marketplace. He succeeds Larry Solomon, who announced his plans to retire in August 2013.
Prior to joining DPS, Lain served as an aviation branch officer for the U.S. Army and more recently as a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Lain holds a bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a master’s of business administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Keller, Texas, with his wife, Lynn, and their two children, Dan and Kelsey.
